any other phobias? like that of darkness or others?
I asked because I'm kinda scared of dark but need total blackout to sleep! even the tiniest ray of light even from the windows makes it hard for me to sleep.. so I simply just distracted myself with during bedtime by music with eyes shut
whenever I sleep alone I woke up in the middle of the night with extreme fear and anxiety without a proper reason
music really worked for me. and it took a long time to get on schedule. almost a month. I tried silent violin instrumentals for sleep training on this app called SoundCloud. it has specific playlists. headphones on and as the mind loses thoughts to the notes you never know when you go off to sleep.
I realize the situation you are facing is quite different. but you never know.. this solution might work for you.
