government should uplift the backward people or the oppressed one....and then there will be equality
not by giving them reservation
I don't like the way it is executed.
@skylar elaborate bit more
@zestyhawk good idea but the ground reality is far far far different
I think one should be given admission on the basis of their score. why do you think so many Indians are moving to us,UK and Europe its because they don't get a chance here
for example rather than giving people reservation in educational institutions... government should work on make more schools or college so that everyone could go to those....this will provide true equality not by giving reservation or accepting some people with less marks
@growinggirl sorry but i can not agree with you on this
if in field of education in most cases of we see. cut off criteria of reserved categories is decreased with more seats in unis.... but is it really fair?
i just remembered a meme I saw years ago it was when obama was the president of us the meme showed obama telling India that ' you take reserved ones we'll take deserved ones'
it's not fair to the candidates of gen category who equally work their ass off , burnt midnight fuel and went through more or less same mental stress just like any other peer of the same race.
@growinggirl explore the caste system entirely
for eg -cut off criteria for advance was something like this -90 percentile for gen category, 70%icle for obcs, around 60's something in mains for sc/st...it doesn't look fair from any angle.
how does one's caste has got anything to do with there admission? you think this makes sense? do you how a general category student feels when they dont get admission despite scoring more marks than their friends who have reservation who get admissions easily
I am saying this from my personal experience cuz I'm a dropped and a classmate of mine scored way less than me in his first attempt but got admission in a government medical college in Mumbai. don't you think it's quite unfair
You guys all why someone should not get reservation but do you ever wonder someone need reservation in the first place, what's the cause? I guess not
that's the point @growing girl -the ground reality. and a very sensitive topic in our country. do u think if the govt. dares to take any step in right direction, both public and opposition will leave them?
giving out reservations wouldn't solve the problem of caste discrimination.
@growinggirl jis discrimination hat jaaega us din reservation bhi hat jaaega
vo din kvi ni aayega... I guess.
even if discrimination vanishes but this reservation system won't vanish like @skylar said the public and opposition won't let that happen and it is indeed the harsh reality
@growingirl but it has given chance to those people who are financially weak
i don't think discrimination will ever vanish from India
jab tak jehlo
do you all general category students are from rich families. there are poor general category people and there are rich students with reservation
it is poltics thing now @growinggirl
financial background has got nothing to do with reservation if someone is from a financially weak background then government should provide them free education and not free seats of students who worked hard for it
@shivang - that's the thing, now many people from the reserved categories are already uplifted.... and these guys don't need reservation... the only thing I believe the government can regulate it is my giving scholarships to the 'actually' financially weak.
I know that, and I have seen some very very rich and from upptercaste using sc, st, obc kota
where does this happen? I've never heard of it? for which exam and which state did this happen in? can you tell me
sadly people will resort to faking files, if it this is how things gonna be
@growinggirl it happen in my class and who did this is my best friend :) saala haraami
oh god! i wonder how come he didn't get caught
The outer things can be resolved with power but what about the mentality
both are sides of same mirror.
if there was no reservation system this wouldn't have happened in the first place
@sgrowinggirl sorry not agreeable, it's crucial untill discrimination mindset change of Hindus(not every hindu)
@growinggirl jab tumhaare haath se koi paani lene yaa dene sa mana kar dega uske baad tumhaare vichaar jaana chahunga
I am valmiki myself so I have bit experience of what discrimination is
or jaha tak mehnat ki baat hai to vo mind to mind or aapke kisi cheez ko karne ke tareeke per depend karti hai
so you think by giving out reservations the government can solve the discrimination problem?
You still not getting my point
discrimination is wrong but playing with a student's career is wrong too
both discrimination and reservation are wrong. this reservation thing was also supposed to dissolve after so called 10 yrs of upliftment.... I guess 70 yrs aren't enough... if this is the mentality of most people in India... forget abt becoming a 'vishwa guru' Or a developed nation.
yaa playing with humans too
I got your point you're against the caste discrimination and I support you in that but you don't realize that I the process of defending yourself you're also saying things that are in favour of caste system and that's what I don't support
you didn't fully understand what I said you should re- read comments
i think you don't understand what I'm trying to say
discrimination jab khatam hoga us din reservation ko hatna hi padega or hatna bhi chahiye per ab cheeze raajniti mai badal chuki hai
isiliye mai ek kehna hai ki apne dharm ya mazhab se pahlay insaan hone ko samjho
pata hai kesa lagta jab tumhaare 80% aaye tab bhi teacher bolta ho aa gaye reservation vaale
Exactly my point! not just general category students suffer because of this but reservation students too have to go through such issues
Yee insaano ki duniya hai yaha 1 se 1 scenerio milenge dekhne ke liye
I'm sorry that happened to you and it's quite unbelievable hoe some teachers are given the liberty to say that
@skylar thanks as always 🤫
