he thinks I deserve better, he once cheated on me, he is not able to trust himself . complains that he is not stable now , but wants to work out things with me so cannot commit and promise blindly to me now.

you are right actually, but actually I had a bad past , it took more than 6 months to move on . after that I hoped for a better partner , I was with hope but now I feel hopeless. if i leave him I'm scared to be alone sometimes.
