First of all, you do not need to change. (Unless it is harming your health and your mobility) Body shaming should not be accepted and you should stand for yourself but if you can not then comfort yourself, I can tell you that in present time people are just so immature and bored, they'll say anything. Just do not take it to heart and have fun with life, achieve your goals...people commenting on your appearance should not get in the way. They are silly and rude people and you should not give them the attention they are seeking for. If you are really struggling with your weight then like someone has said in the comments, go see a doctor and listen to their advice. Have a great life, I know you will do well.

i think lose weight because you want to, not because of the ridicule by others. lose weight because you want to please yourself, not to show others what you are capable of. it won't feel like a chore and set unrealistic goals for youself. honestly, all of us are insecure. and only insecure people notice what is not ideal in other people. shed the weight slowly and keep it off. do not crash diet.
