It is a field more inclined towards research. If you're interested in bio sciences then you have multiple options. You can pursue Bachelors and then Masters and PhD.. This will pave paths for teaching or you could be hired by core companies of biotech. Honestly speaking there isn't much scope with just a bachelors degree. Most graduates switch to software due to a newly discovered lack of passion for research. So be sure of what you want and then proceed. You could also give exams like NET and qualify for JRF, work as a research fellow under scientists across several institutes in the country
The subjects you'll be studying include Cell Bio, Microbiology, Industrial Bio, DNA Microarray, Bioanalytical techniques, Biochemistry, Molecular bio, biostats, bioinformatics, Virology, Plant Pathology, Immunology, Genetics, Proteomics, Pharmacology, etc
These subjects are basically a wide range of areas for you to choose from, in case you wish to pursue research. With the right guide and of course, an unwavering curiosity and keen interest, you can do wonders in Biotechnology
