Am I a hypocrite?

Question

I have always wanted a partner who belongs from a good family background and didn't have much of a traumatic life. He should be good looking, mature, ambitious, and good relationship with his mom and dad. I didn't have all that and that's why I want and crave for that. Am I being a hypocrite here?

Not at all. This isn't hypocrisy, everyone wants the best from their partner, you're just honest enough to speak out. Don't get discouraged by this one comment I see here. Love is a totally different thing, you aren't in love with anyone currently, so you have every right to imagine how your ideal partner would be. These are just instincts. I face the same. Unless we aren't  judging anyone based on our demands, it's totally fine to have expectations. it's normal.
