anxiety issues and fear of being judged

In the last two weeks our therapists have answered 211 queries related to mental health.

Anxiety

I am 17 and i have anxiety issues...i cannot tell this to anyone as people use to say you are too young...why do you feel like this and because of the fear of getting judged by someone i do not open up i want to talk to a person who would actually help me out by giving some advices.

You could try talking to a person who has gone theough or is going through the anxiety phase (Belive me, it is a phase, and can be brought to a more managable level. I have done this only recently). But, as cliched as it may be, talking to a psychiatrist may be the most benefitial in the initial stages. Talk to someone who can do this for you if you cannot do so yourself.

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. Your feelings are very valid. Anxiety is underrated by people, don’t look out for validation from others. I know it can really uncomfortable and keeps you on your toes. Tell me in a heirarchy what bothers you the most to least.
