Ask your parents for sometime to let you heal. You can not just move on like that. Give yourself sometime. Know your worth, you deserve so much better. Not someone who leaves you like that. Focus on yourself in this time. This feeling is bound to come back, it will hurt you but you will have to outgrow this. I know it must be difficult but keep hanging, you will get through it. im sorry for what happend to you. may be he wasnt the one. you will meet someone so beautifully in love with you. but till then you love yourself. talk to your parents that you need some more time to getnout of all this. Spend time with them as much as you can. and dont think too much about past. if you find yourselk thinking about all that,its ok .. just tell yourself you will think of him every now and then. its normal. just feel that and say you are in my mind but im not gonn let that effect my heart and body.it'll all be just fine honey.Praying for you!

I just wish I am able to tell my parents that I am not ready because I am unable to express my feelings in front of them. I keep on wearing a fake smile in front of them just to keep them happy. But deep inside i am hurt and not ready for any other commitment. Can you please tell me some ways in which i can ask them for some time without hurting their feelings?

Yes, you can. Just tell them that you’re ready to get married and will get married soon but right now you’re not in the right mind space you just need some time to make yourself stable.
