bullying by teachers

Depression

I took a drop year after 12th and I'm currently preparing for my entrance exams. I take online coaching classes from a renowned Institute to help my preparation, but some of the teachers at the institute have been bullying me under the ruse of guidance. I'm a hard worker but I'm not especially skilled when it comes to this particular teacher's subject. He mocks me publicly almost every single day and demotivates me. He's pretty popular amongst the students so I don't have any peer support, I'm told to just learn how to take a joke. He's an authority figure so I can't even tell him to back off. This behaviour has been bringing my morale down and making me not want to study a subject that is already not my strongest. I'm afraid this will have a negative impact on my mental health and results

Hey, It's terrible that the person who is supposed to support you is treating you so badly. Have you talked to your parents about it? If it is bothering you excessively then you could consider skipping his class and consulting a different teacher because it's a coaching institute after all.

Do not let anybody bring your confidence down, do accept it if it's constructive criticism. Try to change your teacher and in case you can't, just try to lay low in his class and use the bullying as fuel to work harder. There is no better response to slamming than success.

Hey I feel you may be not same but I was bullied as well by teachers for being bubly or loud. Once a teacher said " I know you don't concentrate you will probably run away with someone and have kids". I am a first generation attorney in my village. So don't let them define you or bring your confidence down. Take it as challenge instead.
