Depression

I got into an argument with my dad yesterday and he slapped me. my mom and my sister stopped him and he went away. He used to abuse me a lot verbally but he never touched me after my school. I'm 20 and he slapped me after so many years. I feel dejected. He said that he takes care of my needs so he can do whatever he wants to. He told me that I don't have the right of questioning anything.

He abuses me verbally for silly mistakes. it escalated this time. I tried talking to him about how it hurts me but it looks like he doesn't care. He can do anything to satisfy his ego. All he cares about is what society thinks about him. I didn't shut down my laptop and he started yelling at me for that. I asked him to calm down but he lashed out. Compared me to a slut and when I argued he slapped me.

That’s really sad. I think you ask your mother to talk to him about it. This isn’t right. He can politely tell you what he wants, respect should be given from both sides.
