confused about career choice

General Query

My life decisions regarding my career were taken up by my parents or guardian till 10th grade. From there on I was asked to choose whatever I wanna be and persuade that ( well ofcourse only in academics, that's the only choice a middle class student gets ). I did not have any likes or dislikes or say I never knew what i wanted to be because the only thing i learnt from last 16 years was to be a good son did what my guardians told me to do. Today i am 20 years old and still confused what i want to be. At morning I am pursuing my grandfather's dream to become an administrative officer, By the day I become a business man ( getting that one from my dad ) By the evening I become a Model,athlete,etc. How do one decide what they want to be? How do one be so sure that they would succeed?

Success is not guranteed even if its something we are good at. But what we be assure of is what we love to do and put all our hardwork and efforts to make it work and it might but also it might not. We have to be prepared for either scenarios. Follow your dreams and make it work in what makes you happy and if it doest work, pick your self up and try again or try something new. Life gives us many chances to do-over. Make yourself happy see what works!

Hey, I have been in your shoes where I was confused and I understand how difficult it must be for you to make any decision. But first and foremost you should find out things that make you happy and listen to yourself as this will ease you a bit.

Choosing a career can be a daunting task. Try to figure out what are the things you enjoy and/or are good at. A little self-exploration would be helpful at this stage. You can also try talking to people who work in different fields, to get an idea of what their work entails. As outsiders, we often have a different (and inaccurate) idea of what life of, for example, a businessman is like. But talking to someone who actually is in business will give you a more realistic picture, with both its pros and cons. Such information can also help you decide if you want a career in that field or not. Hope this helps!
