write it down..the negative thought..what made u feel that(source)..will give u clarity if your worries r valid or not and also u can tear it..ripping paper releif stress sometimes.

also u can try breathing exercises.. Inhale for five counts and exhale for five counts.

negative thoughts r mostly about something that we can't control..like past and future so if it something that's bothering u from past or future try to b in present moment just close ur eyes,inhale, then concentrate on any 3 sounds u can hear name them in ur mind similarly 3 things u can smell,
