Differences between cousins

I interfered too much in my cousin sister's life after her mother passed away thinking that she need a mother figure too console her protect her as she is a single kid like me... We had many bad moments after that but now when she had a bf the problem became huge as I get irritated about her long phn calls or vdo calls with him... I want to make our relationship better... She feels irritated whenever she sees me around... I want to change myself, my negativity my fear of insecurity to loose her... Plz help I feel devastated...

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate your effort of helping your cousin, I am sure you already knew what kind of support is needed for a child. I think you should give her some space and start focusing on yourself. You will not lose her. Giving her space and time would make her realise that you are important to her and you have been considerate towards her, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t have your own life prioritised. That’s why I am asking you to focus on yourself and get yourself busy in activities that you like to do.
