discouraged by parents

today my morning start with a qurral between me & my mum...i want to study bt she wants me to get married to the guy who is not even 10th passed properly...when I say that he is not worthy enough she start to bodyshaming me...she start to demotivate me..... wanting a good looking guy who fit with ur personality is bad thing? wanting to be self dependent is bad thing? she always says u r a girl & ur place is in kitchen not in the study room....u have to bend ur moral down in front of others...i don't know what to do😔

That's so wrong.. Tell your mother today even govt is giving rights to women. This is 20th century. And i have rights to do it. Start preparing for plans of your future prove them wrong.

your mom is a weirdo...  look for a way to earn money and stay independently.....mere jobs will also work but try to be live independent. but stay safe if you are from a country like India.

only thing I can say ... speak for yourself ,even fight for urself.... Bcz this decision will decide ur upcoming life ..... whether with parents or anyone ... explain them ...they will understand but if not ...just fight and do everything that is necessary ....see ... Don't give up..ur mother will understand it soon ..but don't Stop explaining them ... sometimes u have to prove urself or fight for urself....be brave and strong
