Distancing myself from Friend

hi, how to distance myself from a office colleague as in 15 days, he will be joining a new organization and I am feeling that somewhere inside of me, I am not accepting this fact that he is leaving indeed. i usually had no friends, and this one colleague was the only one who unintentionally made me his friend but now as he is leaving...I don't understand how will I cope up with this..as I will go back to the same life again.... that's why I want to distance myself ... maybe that will work...I don't know

hi! It won't work because nobody will be there to fill the void. It will work if you try to make new friends only. Love can replace love , same goes for friendship

i know but as per my nature and personally, I am very shy and introvert, so I have a feeling that no one else will be like this colleague ever in life who will not judge me for my appearance but understand me from inner..but It is becoming very stressful to imagine that I am going back again to the same phase of having no friend to talk to

nah that's not it. There are many people who don't judge others on basis of appearance. If your colleagues are hurting you, did you try talking with them. ?

If your colleagues are not going to judge you, then why do you refrain yourself from making new friends. It's office culture right! you have to deal with clients too.

it's just from last few years, I was used to live lonely life without any expectations from anyone and moreover without any goal..life was just going on....then why suddenly this real world things came now... i was happy (I can say) in my imagination world then why now I have to go through thess feeling of someone leaving and all.....I hope you understand

I hope you understand nobody stays by yor side for too long right. If you got yourself come out form the imaginary world, then now is the time to move and dige yourself deep into the reality right! you were happy, but if you somehow get along, you'll be happier. There's a helpline line in every office where you can vent out stuffs and things, i think you should call and talk to them once. they will guide you much better, because they will get to understand your circumstances better .
