quick ques - do u want to opt for govt. iits/nits for btech. in cs Or private would work?

You can do bachelors in whatever subject enthuses you. You could take up engineering too, but you'll probably have to take a year off after you graduate so that you can prepare. With engineering you can definitely not cater time to other academic pursuits. Decide on bachelors first and you can prepare during vacations and after graduation of course

you'll only be able to prep for upsc, once u r done with ur b tech.

if u r really interested in cs... then take aim for mains or bitsat,mit etc...get into some nit. once u r done with bachelors then go for upsc.
