I found out that my boyfriend loves another woman. He has had a baby with her this weekend, and I have been surrounded by comments from their well-wishers and declarations of love for each other. He told me he is still in love with me and wants to continue our relationship. He also told her that he is in love with me. I haven't been able to eat, sleep or think of much else. I spent the whole weekend in complete agony.

thank you for your advice, I appreciate it. He has been messaging me constantly, saying he loves me (but he picked her), will always love me, but wants me to be his 'best friend again'. I am so hurt and really struggling.

I'm really not. I have been in love with him for a long time - until last week I had no idea this was his plan. He would tell me we were forever, meant to be etc. I don't want to lose him, but watching him have the happily ever after with someone else while I'm alone, and being ok with being downgraded from 'love of my life' to 'best friend' is agony.
