Let him go. Don't let your loneliness become your weakness. You were honest about your feelings and you refused his proposal. If he valued your friendship, he should have understood and stayed friends. But if he chose to leave then you maintain your self respect. Just because you're lonely doesn't mean you need to give into what others say. Just focus on your studies, keep your mind engaged so that you do not feel lonely

i tried and he's like it took alot of courage for him to express his feelings and i said i repsect it and told that we can still remain friends and he is saying it will make his feelings strong...it is so conplicated

Why don't you use this time you have completely for yourself and analyse your true soul. Find your calling, show some self love it's like now you can have your time completely for you and this might even distract you from your loneliness. Just an advice
