When things between a couple hit a breaking point, family involvement can help fix things. However, it's important to know when to put a lid on it as not stopping it in time can also make things worse.
I do not know much to go with. But based on what you have told me, it may be a good idea to reach out to your husband and keep the family, both sides, out of it as much as possible.
