to diagnose a mental illness see the symptoms and decide

I am suffering from depression since 2 months and how I got into this is a separate long story. so, yesterday I tried to tell my parents that i suffer from depression and it is making me sucidal and i can't handle it any more and hence I need medical help to get out of this condition. But, instead of accepting and understanding my condition my Indian parents started yelling on me that you are fine, you don't have any problem, it's just your illusion that you are depressed, there is nothing like depression, it's just your thought. After this I started doubting that am I really depressed or it is actually my illusion. I don't know what is right but I am helpless and I still think that I am suffering from depression.. 😭😭. but my parents are not ready to accept this.. 😰

pls take care of yourself on your own . and give your mind time to heal
