Lack of motivation at work

In the last two weeks our therapists have answered 211 queries related to mental health.

I hate my job. I'm only doing it because I have nobody else to financially support me. I set out on this career path with a lot of dreams and expecting but this nothing like I imagined. I'm scared that the rest of my life is going to be spent like this, devoid of all passion. I'm probably going to resign soon if things go on this way.

Hey, The careers we choose often don't turn out the way we expect them to. The reality is no job is perfect, after a point you're going to face stagnancy in your work. Now it's for you to decide if it's not just regular stagnancy and if there indeed is a different career better suited for you. Try harder to engage yourself in what you do and give it a fair shot before you decide to leave it.

Are you sure that you hate your work and not just your workplace? The wrong environment can make you hate any job. Also, if you decide to pursue a different career then I'd suggest you build up some savings first because you mentioned that you don't have any external financial support.
