I am a Graduate Student, Male. There was a guy in my batch whom I considered my close friend. We had hell lot of simmilarities. So naturally I felt close and friendly. But he dropped out of PhD in the first year itself. I thought we will have fun for next 4 years as well. It has been 10 days now and I am not feeling good. I am feeling lonely. I won't find someone so close anytime soon. atleast won't find anyone as such during PhD. I thought he will be there with me during PhD and we will have lots of fun but, now what should I do🥺 Also he hadn't even messaged me once after he left. what should I do?

focus in your study... people come and go... no matter how close they were one day they have to leave even a person you love unconditionally will leave so learn to show affection but always remain detached ... it will hurt you less after all ots your attachment with a person place or even anything that hurts a most... so learn detachment and get attached with your own self...

Right, How do I get detached? He left 10 days ago but haven't even contacted me since them. I am still waiting for him to message me but not getting one. How do I forget about him completely. How do I stop thinking about him?

also I am crazy for him it looks like. I don't know why am I so attached. i just expect friendship from his side. nothing more than that but I am being desperate for him. I don't expect much from anyone else but why am I getting attached. I just want him as a friend. so as a friend is it okay to expect to hear from his side once every week or say atleast once every month. Am I expecting too much from someone as a friend? how to stop that?
