Lonely in college

Question

I'm in my 1st year of college and around 4 months have already passed but I haven't made any friends. I was a lonely kid in school too, got bullied often and I finally wanted to change it in college but my life is back to the same point. How do I change myself?

You do not need to change yourself, you just need to get more involved socially. If you're just starting out at college then you can join clubs which is a great way of meeting people. Don't get disheartened so quick.

I had the same problem in college but what I've learnt is that focusing on having a few close friends is the way to go. Try to find the nicer people in your classes and approach them. If you're to afraid of doing it in person then social media is a great way as well.

I was similar to you...now I am 45.. now if I have to look back and change...I would have seek the psychiatrist or psychologist help.. and better my self esteem.. and try to mingle how hard I find myself to fit in.. other wise this problem can lead to substance abuse
