Low confidence at work

In the last two weeks our therapists have answered 211 queries related to mental health.

I've been working at the same place for 3 years now but I'm yet to get a promotion or even a significant upraisal. It's all because of my low confidence and inability to get credit. I do all the work but my boss or coworkers take all the credit. My boyfriend said I'm a pushover and this is why it's happening to me but then he exploits the same to get what he wants from me. How do I change this?

There's no way to magically become confident so you will just have to fake it till you make it. Start speaking up even when you feel scared or nervous and slowly it'll just become a habit.

You don't have to assert dominance or raise your voice to get the right credit, be polite but speak up whenever necessary. Making some friends at work might help too. Also call your boyfriend out at his hypocrisy, it'll get worse as you progress together otherwise.
