Mentally abused by boss

In the last two weeks our therapists have answered 211 queries related to mental health.

My boss has been mistreating me since the beginning of my tenure at my company but it has gotten progressively worse. He has no regards for my opinions and takes credit for my work all the time. Whenever I try to protest he says that he'll fire me. I really need to have a steady income to support my family but this is starting to really break me down. He throws slurs at me quite often too but I'm scared of reporting his behaviour.

Hello, As difficult as it might be, you need to stand up for yourself. If you're scared about the financial consequences then start looking for a job beforehand, but do report him to the HR. Just because he's your senior does not mean he gets to treat you so poorly.

I'm sorry you're having to bear this everyday. I must tell you, you are not alone. I have been in the same situation as you but gotten out of it. It is hard and takes a lot of courage, but you need to do it for the sake of your self respect and career.
