I've been in a same situation like your friend is in... As a guy I can tell you that he still likes you... He had feelings for you but now the things changes for him completely... Now his self respect is coming in the way to text you... I'm sure he'll never text you unless you text him first... It hurts when you like someone and he/she doesn't like you back the same way you did...

okay so I somewhat had the same scenario, in my case, (let's take his name as blue) we met in a school trip and he was in different section, we didn't know each other, and I got to know from my friend that, blue used to complement about my dancing skills and outfits to his (blue's) friends, then after the trip, we got to know that we have a mutual friend (let's say bead), and bead had a huge crush on blue and blue had a crush on me, I didn't have crush on any, now bead got to know that blue has crush on me and blue used to think bead is really annoying so bead was jealous that why is blue so good with me, and she broke friendship with me, many girls had crush on him, he was like that kdramas ka lead! oof!!!, blue's crush got severe on me but I dint give a shit to that guy, then he left that school and I cried in front of him, then we used to talk late night and even I got little feelings for him, he proposed me like thrice but I rejected him, but still we used to talk whole-whole nights and day! then this year in January I deleted all my social medias, so ain't in to h anymore

but why he is sorry for the proposal....

he felt sorry because he thought that he ruined his friendship with you... Now he longer thinks that he's texting you as a friend but as a guy who desperately seeks for you... He made up some scenarios in his mind that 'you' think that he's always seeking for you even though you don't think that way... Guys usually does this if they get rejected by a girl whom they like very much...

He also don't text you because he still has those feelings for you and he thinks that "you don't like him that way so what's the point of texting you"

it would be unfair if i accepted his proposal without having feelings for him.....i dont want to do that...... if not accepted then no more friendship..... ultimate loss is mine....... i want him as a friend in my life....not ready for relatiinship.....

so please tell him this.. and clear everything with him... he'll accept you as as friend...

teling you about my experience... I cared for a girl with my full heart, I was there when she needed me. I bought her chocolates, bouquet, and different gifts when she was on her periods so that she'll feel happy, she said she likes me and shared everything with me... we talked uptill 4-5 am, she even wished me valentine's day and told me she likes talking to me.. when I confessed to her she said no and gave me the reason that she didn't feel the same way as I feel for her... I love her so much man I can't even tell you... from that day I stopped testing her... just holding me from sending her memes or snaps... from texting till 5am and sharing everything with eachother now we don't talk to eachother at all... I cry everyday for her and wanted to talk to her but my ego or self respect whatever you say is stopping me from doing so... I don't know what to do, just crying everyday thinking that I ruined everything.

my friend and i never talk a lot.... but he always take care of me....we never met personally.. we always use to talk on watsapp only.... i was busy with my studies and he was with his office work... so whenevr we get some free time we share conversation like have you done with your dinner or like stuff... and hardly after 15 mins talk we again remains with our work.... i had worst relationship experience in past.... he knew that all...... but unfortunately all these liking started.... nd now ends with some unsolved matter.....

just call him or text him whatever suits you.. and tell him everything which you wanted to say... just do it... otherwise you'll end up in a forever going dilemma which eats you up everyday... just do it... he'll never do it for sure, only you've to do it if you wanted to save your friendship... best of luck 🤞

so just leave a text to him saying everything you wanted to say or send a voice note... and text to call you whenever you ge time... and leave the rest up for him... just try your best to reach out for him...
