I think you should try to limit your usage and spend time with things that you used to enjoy. I know using the phone is really engaging and is very overwhelming but it does make you ignore important things of life. That's why it's important to keep a check on its usage.

You can also read books in your phone as well if you can quit using your phone. The kindle app inside smart phones is really good
