I feel guilty while even writing this. Maybe I am too frustrated or something. Today when My dada was cooking he asked for help....I was busy so I told him to give me 15 mins but he shouted and I had the thought. Next when he told me that he has kept mango aside to make pickle and I should keep it inside if i dont want to make the pickle I had the thought. I dont think there is any particular reason for my self-harm thoughts. They just pop-up at the smallest disagreement or shouting or guilt or any other negative thought
Zoya Ahmad
Okay! Seems like you are frustrated with something. Any suppressed anger?

I dont know. BUt I do feel very angry when dad shouts. He is a good person but he doesnt really think before speaking and has hurt many people many times without even realising it. Most of the time blaming the ones closest to him.

Even my younger brother has anger issues. He is angry all the time. Whenever I try to talk to him, he just seems uninterested and irritated. And when he behaves like that, I feel very angry. I understand that our family issues have taken a toll on him, but I gave my every bit trying to calm him. Those family issues are not my fault but he always vents out everything on me. And that makes me very angry

I always wanted to be the one close to him, to understand him, to help him in every possible way, but he doesnt open up that easliy. Is there a way I can make him talk to me about anything and everything ?
Zoya Ahmad
I can understand that becaus eof your father’s behaviour you all have internalised all your feeling and the anger and frustrations comes out in this way.
To help your brother, you should first try to befriend him. Try building a trustful relationship with him and then try to open up to each other.

We do talk normally and have lots of fun but we dont talk about our buried secrets. How do i get him to trust me ?. He does trust me a little but not enough to tell me everything and anything
Zoya Ahmad
You will have to build that bond up, you will also have to open up to him first and make him understand that you trust him and he can do too.
