I am sure it must be really difficult for you. Have you tried talking to your friend about how you have been feeling about it.

Any relationship is said to evolve overtime. You tried to talk to her that's kind of you and she spoke to you that's kind of her. However we try sometimes a relationship cannot be the same as it was yesterday...she would be there for you but not like the same it was before..it's quite natural sometimes somethings hurt and however we try we cannot mend it back to be the same....even things got better....and it's okay...it's okay to change and evolve.. But it's not worth investing your emotions if you think it no longer works...just think it as she was a good friend to you at good period of time...and youll try to find and meet new people. But as I said explain your part...be ready to listen to how it must have made her feel and then if misunderstandings evaporate off .. things will be better if she also longs for your friendship.
