husband feels that he owns me most of the time. Tells me I have no dreams and that I always look on the negative side of things. Most of his goals or ambitions involve treating me like an abused minion to do all the dirty work to achieve those so called healthy ambitions.

It is always mostly him at the receiving end. I feel mostly unloved and not appreciated.

This has to stop for you and the relationship. Tell him that this behaviour of his doesn't help you, infact, makes you more negative.

A huge Ego and a constant urge to compete makes a person toxic at a point. He does not care who he hurts in the bargain.

You are very right here. Talk to him and if need be -- do involve your family member, that you have not been liking how he treats you. You also have an identity, you should be getting equal respect.
