Hello Disney, Its not his feelings that is getting fade away, its just that his priorities are getting changes. At some point of time you have to focus on your career and our efforts in this time will decide our fate. Right now he is only stressed about thinking of future, so don't try to over burden him by blocking his way. Try to help him out in one way or another. Through this your bond will only get stronger. Every relationships have ups and downs and you have to be together in your downs. So try to find out ways to help him out and keep your relationship floating. It will be better if you can openly communicate with him about this and find a solution together.

Unfortunately he got laid with another girl and he regrets doing that. This one thing made him realise that enough of this, he needs to focus on his career now and doesn’t want to get into any sort of commitments. Does he even love me? He says he doesn’t feel that connect now. This feeling is pathetic.

Thats really unfortunate. Thats a complicated situation. Main points to answer here are - Has he cheated with you in the past as well? Do you still accept him after this? If no which seems more rational given his actions, then there is no point of discussion here. Just get over him. If yes, then just talk with him and figure out a way to make it work. It all boils down to the question that what you want. Just figure it out and start working on it instead of worrying.

He is 25 and am 24. Also, no this was the first time in our relationship he did this.

By laid off, I understand that you mean he was let go from his company along with another person who happens to be a girl, yes? Based on that here's my two cents on the to matter. It's not uncommon for men around this age to experience their self worth challenged. Just like society has several expectations of women as they grow older, the same is also true for men. Many feel a pressure to establish themselves in their careers. Women often don't face the same form of pressure in this regard as men do. Coming of age, economic stabilty, career trajectory, success, financial responsibilities are all things that men begin to experience. With the loss of his job, especially at a time like this, may have precipitated this feeling in him, a need to double down on work with minimal distractions. I know it hurts that you have been stuck in the middle of all this. This may not not have as much to do with you as it has to do with his own pressures. Whether or not he will change his mind is not something one can be sure of. But I hope that knowing where this may be stemming from makes it easier for you to deal with the hurt and pain.

@hansa_shaunik By getting laid, I meant he got physical with the other lady. And this did not happen now. It was happening for a year. 2018-19. He did not have courage to face me. He knew he is doing wrong, still he couldn’t share with me knowing that I have a history of panic attacks, I won’t be able to take it. Also, he was working back then. He says that he made this his lifestyle of drinking, partying etc. The corporate culture which he was exposed to was all new to him. His focus got blurred.

Disney, I misunderstood then. How did you find out finally? And how did it make you feel?

@hansa_shaunik How I found out is not important. What more important is, why did that happen. Also, something inside me died that day. But, I feel with time everything heals. Also, since we both are working on our applications for masters. We both are helping each other in our career. And I know for sure that real love always comes back, I am not waiting him to come back to me etc but I know what's yours eventually comes back to you. So, now my focus has been shifted to my career. I mean I want to delete that part of my life completely. Also, I know he loves me genuinely and knows that he has done a blunder in our relationship, so he will earn me now. I don't know if am doing it right or not but I still have faith in our love.

It seems that you are trying to make the best out of your situation. At this stage focusing on career is a good way to take care of yourself. Good luck.
