Hello Random_username...this is a kind of pandemic which the world has not seen before and even after 4 months of its origination scientists are still confused whether it's air borne or not. In this unprecedented time and as the govt. is also advising, keeping in mind the health of your family I would strongly suggest you to stay at home. One more reason is let's suppose while going out you properly follow hand sanitisation and all other protocols but the virus can be spread through your footwear as well which can stick to you while you are on the way and take it to their house.
So i request you to stay home and be safe.

I know that being home continuously can be exhausting and we do wish to at least mingle with our friends/relatives as that keeps up our spirits high. I too believe that it's best to refrain at this point

This is a tough one to answer. So ial distancing is vital as it protects ourselves as well as others. In that sense we are responsible for both others and ourselves. Part of taking that responsibility is to follow the rules put forth by the government. While it can be difficult to imagine a scenario of infection when everyone is practicing social distancing, one can never really be sure of not contracting it as soon as we are coming in contact with other people. For that reason, it's best to refrain at such a time.
