Everybody deserves a second chance in life. We all are growing and all of us have made mistakes in the past. If you are aware of your mistakes, apologizing for that and never repeating them is the way to go. A few mistakes you made in the past which you are already feeling guilty about will not make you a bad person or unworthy of love and company. Having said that, it's totally upto them if they want to forgive you and associate with you again. We can't force people to forgive us, nor can we force a connection. So, I suggest you apologize anyway since it's the right thing to do. But, do it for your own peace of mind and not to get them back. And, Lastly, whether they choose to forgive you or not, you should forgive yourself and move on.

It's your mistake. You're making yourself better. It's better to stay away from them and focus on yourself. That will make you feel more confident and free from problems and your past too. Never think about others, when you need to think of yourself first. You. You are important for yourself. You don't need other people's help when you know you can do it.
