I have been dating my girlfriend for past 5 and half years but we are in a rough patch from past 4 months we are not in contact. She has impulsively decided not to communicate. I am in touch with her family and met her dad and he suggests that i shoudl give her time I am not sure what to do and how to wait I want to wait that's for sure but i can't just focus on other things in my life. I am being sleepy and lazy all the time. Having negative thoughts and issues doing work is aslo part of it. What should i do

Give her time and yourself as well. Do things you love doing and stay positive :) . Being all sad and negative won’t help your situation

Hey! Thanks for reaching out. I can understand, you must be in an anxious situation. But the right thing to do right now is give yourself and your partner time. Introspect. Try to kesp yourself busy in something if the thoughts are bothering you. Don’t push yourself on your partner.

Yes, I agree with the time advice but honestly, I am confused about the duration of time, like how much time should I give. I love her and even she does love me unconditionally but when should I wait for her?

Okay will wait for that, she is currently at her home as of lockdown will wait until she comes back and talks to me. In the meanwhile how should I focus on myself and my work? Because she is a huge part of my life and always there in the back of my head no matter what. How should I get rid of that negative energy?

Make a priority list. Write all the things that are long due. Indulge in some sport or any new hobby. Set goal for yourself- daily goals, short term goal that will lead to long term goal. Make an action plan and work on that.
