It is always about the right person, if you think you love someone and want to spend the rest of your life with him, then you should take a stand and be with your decision because marriage is a lifetime commitment. You cannot choose to spend the rest of your life with someone only because your parents wanted you to, they also want you to be happy. Try to talk to them If you both are earning I think things can be manageable in terms of finances. I know it is difficult to manage studies along with a job but if you really want a govt. job then both of you should talk about it and come on a mutual concrete decision and an action plan.
