she is a helicopter parent not to mention she gets easily pissed off when things dont go her way or thinks they arent going her way so i just gave up on talking to her about things

Have you tried talking to her in this regard, not talking will only create more tension between you guys, it would be better if you both express your expectations politely and come to a common point of agreement.

This is not a healthy situation to be honest. You both have to talk and figure out as she is your mother you can’t just abandon her. Also, take sometime out for yourself and do things you love to cheer yourself up

All i want is to live my life the way i want i didnt want to go to collage i wanted to start working so that i could already hvae my own place but she said no she freaks over every thing and not in a good way i cant talk to her cuz i can never explain myself to her she actually threatens to hit me when we get home the only thing that has kept me here at all were my siblings and friends but now i am planning on leaving all of thus behind me
