Hey! I can understand this happens when you your mijd is overloaded with information.
Why don’t you take frequent very short breaks in between your study hours, it will keep you fresh. The normal attention span is only 20 mins. You can take a 5 min break after that.
Also make notes and bullet points of your learning so even if you forget something you can read the point and you will be able to recall everything in a jiffy.

Also try to segregate your study material and make a blue print of the chapter having the most weightage, then plan accordingly how you want to prepare, don’t study all at once but segregate and pick things one by one.

You can control your present only.
