In the last two weeks our therapists have answered 211 queries related to mental health.

Depression

Hello! I'm 12 years old school girl and have some depression because of the family...my mother died 1 year ago and I was completely broken 💔 that time and wanted some love from someone.and now I'm having depression because of my family,they have been telling me to do households because I'm a women 💔 😔. It is an issue In india that women have to do household chores and men have to do any other jobs and our freedom is also restricted by some relatives. 😭I want to die some times and also want to murder someone.............please help me out with this shit 😭

I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Do you have any sibling? Talk to them about it. Or tell your Father or any elder in your family about your stress. You're too young to move out. Plz talk to someone in the family and spend more time studying so that they don't disturb you. You're strong 😇

Hey! I am sorry to hear that. Are you close to anyone in the family like your father with whom you can share this. Tell him that you are not comfortable. You are still a kid.

My heart goes out to you. But because you are underage and still a kid, people might write you off as a kid pulling a tantrum or just rebellious.. So to gather allies one has to get strong. While doing house chores think of it like for times when you will be independent it might be helpful and being meek in front of others doesn't mean you loose your power... A short period of hardwork may sometimes help you on the long run. And gain as much favors as possible. I do hope you will attend school or continue the same.. So build up your strngths... Eat well and sleep well... A smile can be your mask as well as your weapon. So keep smiling
