Sometimes we do think about incidents more than we should do. We all make mistakes. We all have some akward moments. People forget about it sooner or later. So try to think about it with a bit of humour. It is always worse in your head than in reality. Believe me ;) oh and think this way: everything happens for a reason. I've been threatened and blackmailed in the past...and I had no one by my side to share it with at that time. I kept it to myself the whole time, and now I can no longer open up to anyone. My own emotions feel distant now and I can no longer control my facial expressions. I can't even give out a fake smile, it's so hard.
Stay away from those toxic people who tried blackmailing you. Whatever happened in the past, you need to move past it and start afresh. Do what makes you happy, live life for yourself. Do not overthink, especially past events. Stay positive and start afresh :)
Hi Rae. People usually find the "weakest" person to start this sort of behaviour. So maybe it is also important for you to build up yourself, go to some kickboxing or some other fitnes thing that would help you out with this. I am not saying that revenge is the answer, i just think that usually helps out with self-respect and with better attitude. And talk with someone about the things that happened. Go to social worker or a trainer or to someone you trust. It is important to not avoid it, but to find a solution. You can do it. Good luck!
