Unemployment causing Depression

In the last two weeks our therapists have answered 211 queries related to mental health.

I worked in an airline company and got sacked due to COVID. It's been a while that I have no job and I've exhausted all my savings. I have no other source if income or skill I could earn money from. I'm scared and depressed about the future, I see no way out of this. If I go bankrupt, my family is not established enough to support me. I need to help myself somehow fast.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you're going through such terrible times currently. The major cure to your depression here would be to get back up on your feet so try that with all your might. If the airline industry is your only hope, then apply for jobs in all companies possible. Keep your mind calm so that you can handle this strategically.

Hey, Since it's hard to get a job in your industry of choice, have you considered working in sales for a bit? Your previous job must've given you good communication skills so this might work. Also create a budget to prolong the amount of time you can survive with your current funds. If you feel depressed, then spend some time exercising, the endorphins could help you feel happy and motivated.
