Hi, I have got admission for top college in aboard but my father is torturing mentally. Also I have cancelled my plans. He never spent money on me but always demanding money from my end. But I refused. I feel so anxious when i am with my family. They always get jealous bcz my silblings are underachievers. They calculate each penny from my end

First of all congrats for your admission. It’s a great achievement and you should be proud of yourself. I think you shouldn’t cancel your plans cause of money as opportunity comes once in a lifetime and goes, so don’t let it pass by. Secondly, talk to your parents and sort it out with them. For your anxiety, do breathing exercises and meditation as it will get your mind off things

You can also propose the idea of taking an education loan.

I have tried to get education loan but they are not giving collateral or co applicant details. Its very hard to process the application without these two. I tried so many banks and finance companies

Do you think you can talk to any of your extended family member or teacher who can try to convince your parents?

My friends are very helpful they can give few lakhs but even I am hesitate to ask. But I have asked them too.. they are given totally 3L but I have returned it since I am not going. My relatives never help me in anyway since I am the only one who studied well and working in IT. None of my relatives studied well. They are too jealousy and hates me since I havnt married my relative guy. Who is my second level cousin. Also my father never listens to anyone.
