I've had acne for 2+ years and im starting to get sick of it so i went to a dermatologist and he gave me acne pills and a cream i used it fo about a month and i don't think there is any improvement do i keep using them for more or is that normal or what do i do?

Hey, I've been a victim myself. Don't stop with the treatment. Can you name the medicines the doc has prescribed? If acne is severe, you won't see immediate results but meds are necessary to eliminate the bacteria completely. You may have to continue with the gel for a longer duration especially at night. It'll get better, be patient

my self esteem was low all my teenage. luckily I did overcome that period. for me, it took around 7 months to get rid of it but also temporarily I was asked to apply the ointments regularly. my acne is hereditary so am bound to it. raise no matter what

I agree with @swordsaint- It takes time but you'll definitely get the results with patience and perseverance. No reason to give up. Infact oral retinoids may cause flare up initially but ultimately your break outs will stop. Trust me, I've been a pretty bad victim myself
