why people ghost you??

why people ghost you after giving so much importance and building emotional connection..suddenly they will leave without giving any explanation..how to deal with it????i m trying to keep myself busy but it is very disturbing.should i text/call that person one more time..or leave it like that..i have called/texted him few times but no response.what should i do...n how to deal with it.i need help
