I have seen a similar case In my family. I know it is difficult to put up with such kind of cruel actions especially when you call them your family. Being the mother of a one year old and putting up with such in-law and a husband as him must be really tough up until now. I really appreciate your effort for staying strong. If your in-law is manipulative then stay strong against her or even if it is your husband. Be strong and if they want to demand you , in return demand them , don't back off being scared. I have seen this. Don't even get scared of them. As for criticism it's the awful behavior of some in-laws to point every single problem be it a dish or the usual issues. They are often complaining and manipulative. Speak with your husband tell him openly about how ypu feel. If your husband doesnt understand your situtation and is also going to just be a puppet of his mother then let him be. Just love your child more. Don't even bother about them anymore then. What I realized is to love your child and make sure he/she never misses any share of happiness in his/her life. I know it's hard to put up. But for someone whom we care and love to have a good future we need to be strong and you should be too and you can be. For your son stay strong . I know you can do it

I never had this marriage experience but still I want to tell you to be strong and dont let all these things effect your little one. He/she doesn't deserve to see his/her mother being all week & all.I don't know if this is a good advice but first try to tell them about how u feel. u know it's not always necessary that the family members will support each other but it's important for u & ur family to know abt ur worth.Remember that before love...trust & mostly respect is imp. in every relationship. If there is no respect then it's there is no need for u to stay. But first just try to make them understand ur condition.

I know it's easy for me to say that you don't have to stay with them unless they respect you but trust me without this n this whole relationship will be a burden for u, all those criticism and specially ur husband not being understanding and attentive towards u will eventually hurt u to the core of ur heart. Just put an effort in whatever way u want but....just be strong both physically and mentally.
