my skin condition (dermatitis) is close to healing and i just need the motivation to put on skin cream and all that but all the discouragement of my mother is just stopping me. I have this condition since I was a child and now that I'm a teen everyone around me is wearing shorts, skirts and all that but i just hesitate to even wear one without breaking down. It sucks yk because everyone around me has clear porcelain skin but me? I'm the complete opposite. My mom would always tell me that my aunt had it worse but she recovered well maybe it's because everyone around her was so supportive and kind to her throughout it and that motivated her, but me? all i got was knowing that I was ugly and all that. I know it's supposed to make you feel more motivated to treat it but it just kinda changes you if that's what you heard all your life yk? it just sucks I mean it just drains you and makes u go like 'damn even if this is cured this shit will still go on' and yep thats my first overshare

Hey,  I totally understand how a skin condition can undermine your self esteem. I hope you've shown yourself to a doc, because you can get rid of it! And if you've been prescribed meds or a skin cream, use the meds, put on the cream! It'll take some time to get back to normal but plz do not undermine your confidence. It doesn't matter what your mother or the society says. What matters is your determination to get past it and put your insecurities behind. Also, a skin condition doesn't make you ugly!! Be positive from the inside :)

it's okay to feel it ,girl just love your flaws bdw that's not a flaw or anything that's just your body and you are still perfect with that ,try to love your condition,just avoid those eyes and talks ,no one will discuss no one's cares ,
