Accepting that the relationship is over and now he is just your friend will help you . Minimising the dependancy on him and splitting up the day to day talk with different set of your friends. So that you don't feel the urge to discuss with your ex. Once you have got the closure from your past relationship. Start seeing your life without him being the integral part. I understand it's tough at starting but with time you will be able to do this. If it is still getting tough for you then you might have to reconsider him being in touch with you.
