Not being able to communicate with father

I haven't seen my father since I knew my self but during my last days in secondary school /high school I called him but I couldn't talk to him I had to ask my friend to help me talk and he knew it was me calling so since that day he has been calling that number and the owner has been telling me he has been asking of me but am scared that if I call him it might hurt my mom and I was thinking of talking to my aunty about it I don't know if it's a good idea but I really feel like knowing him but am scared of the outcome
