Panic about change

In the last two weeks our therapists have answered 211 queries related to mental health.

Everything around me is changing. My bestfriend just left last night to the US for college. My other friends are going to be moving out soon as well. I feel this deep pain in my chest due to the loss of these relationships I had nurtured over the years but honestly, I'm very scared too. I feel like the world is moving around me while I remain stationary and very soon I'm the only one who's going to be left like this.

Hey, Change keeps life going on, it's a good thing and anyway none of us can stop the world around us from evolving. I guess it's hitting you a lot more right now since your best friend just moved out but trust me you'll be fine. Just because you can't be friends with somebody forever doesn't mean the relationship held no value.

These changes that come after school gets finished are hard-hitting. I remember feeling the same way as you but well, life goes on. Lucky thing is that you've got these memories forever and someday you're going to look back and be glad that you got to experience all of this :)
