i don't like it when my best friend read my personal diary , even if i tell her not to read she tell me 'it's okay cause I'm your best friend i must know everything' ...but it's not fair,  one should not do this if the person is not comfortable to share darkest secret ,i mean i have wrote lots of personal stuff and it's really bad if try to read it without my permission.......but i don't know what to do......am i over reacting to this situation ?.... should I allow her to read it even if i don't want to?

it's never okay for someone to cross someone else's boundaries even after knowing that the other person is comfortable. As a best friend she should be the first person to know and understand why it must make you uncomfortable, I'd suggest you sit down with her and tell her that...I hope she understands and if not I'd say you deserve better friends

No honey, you're not being over reacting. You have rights to do that. Everyone need their own privacy and it's okay if you don't want her to read your diary. Try hiding it from her and said that you already burn it so she won't read it anymore. hope this helps!

your not over reacting if you don't want to share your personal stuff so she or he should understand they should understand the boundaries and personal stuff I know how it feels because my middle brother reads my diary too so i thaught that i will share my feelings here don't worry you are not over reacting it's not your fault

@mellowrelish...well it's my brother who hand it over to my bestfriend he is so annoying....otherwise she wouldn't have read that...

@chickitten6....i wish I could make more friends but... making friends is now forbidden for me....cause i aways get attracted to wrong ones and i used to get depressed over their behaviour.....so my parents suggested not to make more friends ....i have been dumped more than 5 times
